What do you do at Mid-Cities?
I currently serve in two different roles at Mid-Cities; Family Pastor and Midland Life Groups.
When did you feel called to ministry?
I grew up in a christian home and when I was 16 started to feel the call to ministry. God used both my sister Sarah and my youth pastor to begin challenging to walk with Him daily throughout my high school years. It wasn't really until my time in college at Texas Tech that I learned to let Jesus be the Lord over every area of my life. Throughout my time at Texas Tech God was sharpening me and preparing me for full time ministry and eventually my time at Mid-Cities as both the Children's Pastor and Family Pastor.
When and why did you choose Mid-Cities?
I have heard it said that everything rises and falls on leadership and I believe that Mid-Cities is blessed with incredible leadership. I believe God has a distinct mission for Mid-Cities in the Permian Basin and I love being a part of what is happening in our church body. I came on staff as the Children's Pastor in September of 2006. I served in that role until May of 2012 at which point I moved into the role of Family Pastor.
What are you most excited about when it comes to your specific area of ministry?
I love what God has called me to at Mid-Cities! We have an incredible staff in the children and youth ministries and I love watching families get connected through life groups and age specific ministries. It is amazing to see kids begin to trust God with every part of their life at an early age because they are exposed to the gospel when they are young.
Who are you, really?
I am a man of many interests! I am the husband of Allie and the father of Andie. When not serving at the church I love college football (Wreck 'em Tech), being outdoors, and often tinkering with technical things I have no business messing with.
